Let the Tongue Lashing Begin!

Well...I didn't do those workouts yesterday. So it's time for the TOUGH LOVE!

Listen, I know that everybody likes to be all positive and supportive on these blogs, but that clearly won't work for me. So here it is Bloggers...your big moment: I NEED AN INTERVENTION!

You've been dying to slap and shake every false-starter out there (maybe even yourself at times). Time to cut the crap. Today, I almost wrote, "All is not lost...Friday was supposed to be an off-day, I'll just shift the schedule." NO! NO MORE RATIONALIZATIONS! NO MORE EXCUSES!

I know this might be a little out of your comfort zone, but it's time to deliver the necessary flogging. If it makes you feel better, write it to yourself.

Here, I'll get you started:

You've been flapping your gums so long about this training, I almost confused them for the backs of your arms! Now get your ass to the pool! (Ooh...burn.)

Alright...give me your worst!

Uh, let's see, "get your ass in the pool so when we run the Cornman, I don't smoke you like you're out of fuel!" :-)

Because you haven't seen _The Empire Strikes Back_ I'll paraphrase Coach Tammy, instead of Yoda: "Do. Or do not, and there is no tri."

Out of my comfort zone? Please...girl, get your arse to the pool, nuff talk!

I make myself get going by remembering how clear my head will be when I finish...uh, maybe that only works if you are a crazy, worrying, rationalizing, overthinking gal like myself but anyway...you'll feel fantastic and then you can have a cocktail!! (That's my other trick to get my butt moving...) So get going, you better not be reading this until after your workout!

Besides, there will be no DNF next year when I am on the sidelines so either it will be a really hard finish or a slightly less hard finish, you decide!

Wow, read above with a menacing, threatening voice, it feels good!

Think about it like I think about the 400m sprint. You go slow, you go fast, it's going to hurt either way and it is going to kick your ass. I don't know about you, but I like to look good even when I lose, so get it together and don't act like your so new. I don't care if you got to fake enthusiasm and happy, high school should have more than prepared you for this.

Ahhhhh. Much better! Just what the doctor ordered.

Duane: You are ON, my friend! A new nemesis in the making???

Brent: I think you may have given me a reason to reconsider my position on Star Wars.

Stacey: If you go to AZ with me next year, I WON'T LET YOU DOWN. (I'll even practice my wrestling moves so they CAN'T take my chip away!)

Sunny: That's what I'm talkin' about. Unleash that ROTC wrath!!!
