Just saw your post about Dinah... Love can hurt so bad sometimes. I think if the world were fair, we would all be born with a canine companion and we'd pass on at the exact same time, too. Lost my first fur-baby the beginning of August, too, to a large brain tumor. I don't even recall the exact date because the entire month was such a painful blur.
You are right about the guts. It takes a lot of 'em to love knowing the difference in lifespans.
